Facility to Create 20 Jobs, Bring $13M in Investment
CLINTON, Ark. (August 14, 2024) – The State of Arkansas announced today that Wild Pastures, a national grass-fed and pasture-raised meat delivery service, is expanding into Arkansas. The company’s move into a 138,000-square-foot facility in Clinton will create 20 new jobs over the next two years. This expansion is a result of increased customer demand and a desire to deliver products more quickly to the growing Southeast market.
In 2013, husband and wife team Dr. Autumn and Chas Smith launched Paleovalley, a healthy food, drink, and supplement company dedicated to helping people get the essential nutrients they need, without added sugars, grains, and other harmful ingredients. In 2018, they launched Wild Pastures, a regenerative meat delivery service based in Erie, Colorado, that sends 100% grass-fed and pasture-raised meat directly to your doorstep.
“We launched Wild Pastures with the mission of helping to change the meat industry for the better by delivering the highest quality, delicious and nutrient-dense meats to our customers doorsteps at the lowest prices possible. We are excited to be coming to Van Buren County and feel it is a fantastic area with great people for us to continue supporting this fast-growing business of ours,” said Wild Pastures co-founder Chas Smith.
“Arkansas has found the right recipe for growth: low taxes, manageable regulations, and a strong workforce. We’re excited that Wild Pastures recognizes that success and is putting roots down in our state, joining companies from all over the world in realizing Arkansas’ potential,” said Governor Sanders.
“Wild Pastures is a leader in the health foods sector, and we are excited to welcome them to Arkansas and see them grow in the Natural State,” said Clint O’Neal, executive director of the Arkansas Economic Development Commission. “The City of Clinton is a great, business-friendly community, and we congratulate them on this economic development win.”
“Van Buren County is elated to welcome Wild Pastures! We look forward to a rich future filled with opportunity and growth,” said Van Buren County Judge Dale James. “When a company partners with Van Buren County, they become family. Our family has grown today, and we couldn’t be more proud!”
“Clinton allows great opportunity with its workforce, excellent school and emergency services, and its own water and sewer system. We are glad to offer all we can to enable success for our new business friends,” said Richard McCormac, Mayor of Clinton. “We’re proud of our natural beauty, our people, and a company that supports healthy living. Clinton will be in with both feet to help Wild Pastures grow and thrive and be proud to call Van Buren County its home. This is a great day for our community!”

About Wild Pastures and Paleovalley
At Wild Pastures, our mission is to provide beef, chicken, and pork from animals that are 100% pasture-raised using regenerative agricultural practices in the United States and deliver them to your doorstep at or near wholesale prices. We are only satisfied when we know all of our animals were fed appropriately, lived the happiest lives possible, and had a positive impact on the environment. Unlike other companies that source internationally, we solely source domestically to create American jobs and restore American soils. As a mission-based business, we are equally and fully committed to the nutritional quality of the final product (no antibiotics, steroids, or GMOs), animal welfare, environmental restoration, and a fair price for both farmers and consumers. Wild Pastures beef, chicken, pork, and seafood products can be found at wildpastures.com.
Paleovalley is a company co-founded by Dr. Autumn Smith, Doctor of Holistic Nutrition and Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner, with her husband, Chas. Their main mission is to make the beneficial nutrients provided by nature easily accessible and convenient for everyone. They do this by avoiding synthetic and chemically processed health products that are currently dominating the market, and instead, harnessing the power of whole foods that the body can readily recognize and absorb. Paleovalley’s flagship product is the 100% Grass Fed Original Beef Stick, which can be found at paleovalley.com and at online retailers Amazon and Walmart.
