Maxis Advisors is proud to introduce our newest Senior Project Manager, Megan Anderson. Anderson will be a key player in expanding Maxis’ presence in the site selection sector while taking over existing client relationships in the negotiated incentives practice. Megan will be based in Columbia, South Carolina, expanding the firm’s footprint.
“We are delighted to have Megan as part of the Maxis team. She is well respected in our industry and exemplifies each of our company’s core values. She is a great addition and will serve herself and our clients very well in this role,” says Patric Zimmer, President at Maxis Advisors.
Prior to joining Maxis Advisors, Megan was a Senior Project Manager in Global Business for the South Carolina Department of Commerce. Her duties in this role included business recruitment and the management of complex economic development projects. While Megan has worked with companies across all manufacturing and service-related industries she has developed expertise in aerospace, aviation, and office/service projects. She also brings an extensive knowledge of working with international companies and conducting business internationally. Megan’s six years in this position led to over $1.8 billion in direct investment and roughly 11,000 new jobs in South Carolina.
Prior to her position in the Global Business Division, Megan worked as a Program Manager in the Grants and Incentives Division for the SC Department of Commerce where she helped allocate federal dollars for community and economic development projects.
“Megan’s experience in the field of economic development goes beyond her time at the SC Department of Commerce where she served as a leading point of contact for domestic and international investors that have successfully established and expanded in the United States,” says Burnet R. Maybank, III, Member at Nexsen Pruet Law Firm. “As former Director of the SC Department of Revenue and Empowerment Zone Chairperson, I was impressed by her profound understanding of the economic development regulatory framework and structure in South Carolina. Moreover, her vast network in the US and around the world has strengthened those commercial bonds that will continue to pay dividends in new FDI.”
Megan received her Master’s in Business Administration with a concentration in International Business from the University of South Carolina. She also received a BS in Business Administration with a specialization in International Business from the University of South Carolina.
